Willowwind School uses a rolling admission process. We gladly accept applications for students seeking admission after the start of the academic year. Applicants accepted based upon availability.
The following steps should be completed in order to apply for admission:

2. Initial visit
Tours are available to anyone interested and an application does not need to be on file to tour. Visits are typically done between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. We believe school visits are the best way to assist a family in determining program fit. We welcome you to see our dynamic learning community in action!
Submit an application for admission and non-refundable $100 application fee.
Families should identify the academic year they are seeking admission to within the application. We accept applications and create waitlists for start dates outside of the current school year.
4. Meet with us...if you haven't already
We believe in discovery through inquiry even at the application stage. An informal meeting with you and your child (you may choose to first visit without your child) is an opportunity to get to know our Willowwind community, ask additional questions, and gather program information.
PreK-6 classroom visits and observations also allow Willowwind the opportunity to assess student needs. Families and teachers collaborate on a Personalized Education Plan (PEP) for each of our students and the information provided during application is the first step in the development of the PEP.
We support developmental placement and, in some instances, we may ask for a subsequent meeting with you and/or your child, the opportunity for our teacher(s) to meet with your child, or request school records and/or references from previous teachers to help evaluate readiness.
5. Next steps
Your application will be evaluated for admission. Early each spring, we contact current families to determine re-enrollment and possible number of available spaces for new students. At that time we are able to offer available spaces to accepted applicants on our waiting list. New students are then invited based upon the date we received your completed application and fee. Admission after the start of the academic year for accepted applicants is based upon availability.
