Lego Robotics (Grades K-6)
Mondays, 3:30-4:30 PM with Darla Burr and Emily Hill
Robotics provides a real-life simulation of the complex engineering challenges that exist in the industry. This course encourages students to use their critical thinking and teamwork skills, while the students build robots together and create something amazing.
Cost: $230; $210 for full-time ASP enrollees
Mix Media Art (Grades K-6)
Mondays, 3:30-4:30 PM with Megan Bishop
Delve into techniques at your own pace within a nurturing environment. Mixed media paintings encourage us to step out of the box, and to explore endless possibilities, by breaking boundaries between different types of paint, inks, and techniques (for example watercolor + acrylics, collage + stenciling).
Cost: $230; $210 for full-time ASP enrollees
Introduction to Taekwondo (Grades Pre-K-6)
Tuesdays at 3:30-4:30 PM and Thursdays at 2:30- 3:30 PM with Grandmaster Ms. Lonnie Matthews 8th Dan Black Belt and Mr. Emmerson Bennett 2nd Dan Black Belt
The focus of all Mireu Martial Arts Classes is on character development, physical fitness, and self-defense, rather than fighting. The overarching goal is in building student’s self-esteem and self-confidence. The introductory program is for all ages 4 to adult. Optional yellow belt promotion test at the end of the session at Mireu Martial Arts main school in Coralville for $75.
Cost: $415 includes tuition, uniform, belt, patches and white belt curriculum.; $400 for full-time ASP enrollees
Mini Tippi (Pre-K)
Tuesdays, 3:30-4:15 PM with Tippi Toes Instructors
We incorporate a mix of the three types of dance during class time using high-energy music. Students learn choreography to multiple dances throughout the year and get to show off their moves at recital time! Our original music separates Tippi Toes dance classes from all the rest and we guarantee big smiles and lots of fun every single class! Students will be grouped by age and our staff is trained to customize the class according to the age of the kiddos!

Junior Scientist (Grade Pre-K-2)
Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:30 PM with Veronica Armstrong
Students will learn about how scientists work - observing, recording, experimenting and making mistakes along the way! Each week they will learn about a scientist and the kinds of work they do. They will create a hypothesis, conduct a hands on experiment and talk about what went well and what maybe didn't go as planned. Kids should wear play clothes because sometimes science is messy!

Intro to Coding (Grades 3-6)
Wednesday, 3:30-4:30 PM with Zach Burr
Teaching the basics of coding, prints ints and strings, and building skills of the computer science to teach them how to make and fix lines of code. We will finish this class by teaching the students how to make their own code-based game!

Dungeons and Dragons (Grades 3-6)
Fridays, 3:30-4:30 PM with Zach Burr
Would you like to go on an EPIC adventure? Our Dungeon Master will take students on an adventuring party that will explore fantasy worlds together as they embark on epic quests and level up in experience. Each student will get to customize their own character and will learn all about D and D.

Public, private, and home-schooled students in preschool through Grade 6 are eligible to resister for Willowwind’s Enrichment Program. Elementary students should register based on the grade they are in for the 2023-2024 school year. For preschool programs, students must be at least four years old and toilet-trained.
