GIVING TO WILLOWWIND

Willowwind encourages its families to be active participants in the school community. We teach our students that everyone is an important part of our community and that we all have something to contribute. For some, participation might be making a financial gift and for others it will be volunteering at summer booths. Willowwind is grateful for all contributions, time, financial, and otherwise. Together we can ensure Willowwind, its students, faculty, and staff will continue to thrive for another 50 years.

WAYS TO GIVE

DIRECT DONATION

Annual giving is the single most important source of non-tuition income for our school. The unrestricted nature of the Ignite Fund allows the school to respond to the day-to-day needs of its students quickly and with flexibility. Your gift will ensure Willowwind faculty and staff are able to benefit from professional development, that our facility is equipped with spaces and materials to enrich student experiences, and that we are able to strive for greater accessibility through scholarships. You can also make a gift through Venmo @Willowwind-School.

DESIGNATED GIVING CAMPAIGNS

Periodically, Willowwind holds designated giving campaigns. In contrast to the Ignite Fund, designated campaigns seek to support a special program, project, or identified need outside the scope of the planned operations budget. In recent years, these campaigns have focused on enhancing outdoor play areas and diversifying learning spaces to suit a variety of needs and learning styles.

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the work that is being done at our school. Whether you serve on a committee, help with event prep, or drive for field trips, your gift of time ensures Willowwind is able to carry out its mission both inside and outside of the classroom.

  • Community works days (fall & spring)

  • Local event booths (spring-fall)

  • Serve on a school committee (during school year)

GIFTS IN-KIND

In-kind donations are a type of charitable giving in which goods and services are given instead of monetary donations. In addition to organized opportunities to donate items to classrooms, families, and friends have generously gifted microscopes, laptops, iPads, and more in recent years. If you have an interest in supporting Willowwind with a gift-in-kind, please reach out to us and we’ll help assess how your gift can best be utilized.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO GIVE

EMPLOYER MATCH

A great way to enhance your donation’s impact is by turning to your employer for a match. Many employers will match both monetary donations and volunteer hours for current and retired employees. Talk with your employer about opportunities to double the impact of your gift.

HILLS BANK CLASSROOM CASH

Classroom Cash empowers you to earn money for the private school or public school district of your choice in our community each time you make a purchase with your Hills Bank debit card or business debit card. With every purchase, the bank will make a donation back to the school. There is no cost to you; it’s just a great way for us to make a difference in our community schools together.
