Assistant Montessori Preschool Teacher

The Assistant Preschool Teacher is responsible for working with students, individually and in small groups, as well as assisting the Classroom Teacher with all daily classroom procedures and routines.  Must be dependable, responsible, and have an excellent rapport with small children.  Previous early childhood education experience is preferred.

Job Hours:  35 hours per week

Wage:  $13-$15 per hour depending on experience

Finance Office Manager

This position is responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly payroll, and benefits enrollment and administration.  The Finance Office Manager supports the Head of School as needed with a variety of accounting and administrative activities and works with Willowwind’s off-site accountant and/ or Board of Trustees Treasurer on financial forecasting needs.

Job Requirements:  Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a similar degree, previous experience in accounting / bookkeeping including experience with QuickBooks, payroll, processing, and benefits.

Job Hours:  20 hours per week to begin with up to 40 hours per week as job responsibilities shift from Willowwind’s off-site accountant to the Finance Office Manager role.

Salary:  based on experience and education

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Account Receivables:

  • create and update invoicing for students
  • manage monthly ACH withdrawal of tuition payment plans
  • process all forms of tuition revenue
  • field financial questions from parents regarding billing issues
  • process tuition enrollment applications, set up account billing and track student modifications
  • process financial aid awards
  • process and reconcile monthly donations

Account Payables:

  • pay monthly bills and invoices
  • reconcile bill payments to vendors
  • process and reconcile monthly credit card statements and apply appropriate budget codes to credit card purchases
  • review expenses to budget amounts

Other accounting tasks:

  • prepare and make bank deposits
  • reconcile monthly bank statements
  • other accounting tasks as required

Payroll / Benefits

  • enter and process payroll and payroll taxes
  • process new hire documentation for new employees
  • administer / oversee monthly benefit plans administration including:
  • enroll new employees for payroll/benefits and update as needed
  • respond to employee payroll/benefit queries
  • other payroll/benefit tasks as required

Work closely with Willowwind’s off-site accountant and/ or Board of Trustees Treasurer to assist in:

  • managing the annual budget
  • participation of long-term financial planning and in-depth analysis
  • drafting and revising of reports, spreadsheets, databases, cash flow projections, monthly financials

Job responsibilities of Willowwind’s off-site accountant may transfer to the Finance Office Manager’s role as the Finance Office Manager’s hours increase following an introductory review period and successful performance of initial duties at Willowwind School.
