Before and After-School Program Staff
Willowwind School is seeking part-time Before and After-School Program teachers for the 2017-18 school year. BSP starts at 7:30 a.m. Monday - Friday. Preschool ASP runs from 3:30-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. K-6 ASP runs 3:15-6:00 p.m. M-W and Friday, and from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Part-time up to 20 hours per week- August 2017 - June 2018
Willowwind School, an independent preschool through sixth grade school in Iowa City, is actively seeking a Spanish teacher. Willowwind’s Foreign Language teacher will work with a range of students, kindergarten through sixth grade (ages 5-12) to further foreign language capabilities and cultural understandings through a project-based curriculum. Teacher responsibilities include developing foreign language curriculum that will include both cultural and language studies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Spanish (oral and written fluency), and prior elementary education and language teaching experience. Applicants with a language specific teaching license and /or language endorsement by the state of Iowa is preferred, but may not be necessary. All foreign language classes are conducted in the target language. Compensation based upon experience.
