We invite you to consider a donation to Willowind’s STO for the 2024 tax year. The Iowa legislature recently voted to increase the credit percentage from 65% to 75%, meaning all donations receive a 75% Iowa tax credit.
Willowwind School is part of the Iowa Independent School Tuition Organization, (IISTO). Your donation would directly benefit a current or potential student in most financial need, at Willowwind. Iowa offers tax credits to donors supporting School Tuition Organizations (STO's), like Willowwind, that provide private school scholarships. Students are eligible to receive these scholarships if their family household income does not exceed 400 percent of federal poverty guidelines.
Our STO is a 501(c)3 organization formed to help these families who seek a private education for their children that otherwise may be financially out of reach. As such, STOs are charitable organizations created to receive cash contributions from individual Iowa tax payers, and then allocate those funds to eligible families who attend accredited non-public schools represented by the STO. When you donate to IISTO, please fill out the linked Donor Form. It is also located on the IISTO website, https://iisto.org/index.php.
Select Willowwind School as your recipient.
You must donate a minimum of $1000.
You will receive guaranteed Iowa tax credits equal to 75% of your donation amount. In addition, the remaining 25% could also be eligible for a federal tax deduction.

All donations must be submitted prior to December 31, 2024.
You will receive your Iowa and federal tax documents in January of 2025.
Your IISTO donation will be noted in line 44 of the Iowa tax return.

We are currently working to fulfill our IISTO funds for the 2024 calendar year and have just over $54,000 to raise.
